A fifth generation Californian, Dina is passionate about life and embraces her journey with joy and amazement.  At the writing of this course, she has run 10 half marathons and is training to complete her first full marathon (26.2 miles) in November, 2007.  Her goal is to run a race in all 50 states and as many different countries as possible before she dies.

Description

This course provides a broad overview of the types of knowledge and skills social workers need to perform their roles within a hospice agency. This course corresponds with the following tags: L585, L594 & L597.

  • Examine the history of hospice and the role and efficacy of social work in hospice.
  • Illustrate the role of social work in hospice regarding assessment, emotional support, placement, and crisis intervention.
