Lorrie Mercer graduated from the University of Southern California in 1979 with a Masters Degree in physical therapy. She has provided training in observational gait analysis and functional electrical stimulation throughout the United States and Canada and as guest faculty at the University of Southern California, California State University, Long Beach, Loma Linda University, and California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has also provided training in Ethics and Jurisprudence to several hundred PTs, OTs, STs and nurses throughout Texas, Georgia and Tennessee, focusing on the Association Codes of Ethics and the State Rules and Practice Acts. Lorrie has served as a California delegate to the American Physical Therapy Association National Conference. She has mentored more than a dozen physical therapy students throughout her career and has coordinated the clinical affiliations of more than 300 physical therapy students. Also, she has served on the admissions committee for physical therapy students at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Ms. Mercer has had over 20 years of experience in healthcare. She has worked in a variety of settings in her career as a physical therapist including Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care and Long-Term Care. Her career path includes Clinical Instructor, Education Coordinator, Director of Physical Therapy, Inpatient Facility Supervisor, Physical Therapy Clinical Director and Therapy Program Manager. Ms. Mercer has been employed by RehabCare Group, Inc. since June of 2001, and is currently serving as Compliance Manager.
