Description

This course will explain the purpose and provisions of the new HIPAA laws. The student will learn to recognize Protected Health Information (PHI) and identify ways to act in compliance with HIPAA laws. Possible situations will be given and the student will learn ways to handle them correctly. The result of breaking HIPAA laws will be discussed.   • Define PHI and other confidential and sensitive information.
