Tampa — Care2Learn, the leading provider of online physical therapy CE courses and healthcare compliance training, announced recently it has received FPTA approval for three new interactive courses aimed at helping Florida Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants meet the continuing education requirements of the Florida Board of Physical Therapy as well as advance their professional skills.
The addition of these courses to Care2Learn’s FPTA-approved course library gives Care2Learn a total of 275 approved course hours. The timing of the approvals coincides with the odd-year November 30 due date by which PTs and PTAs must complete 24 hours of physical therapy CE.
The FPTA accreditation applies to the following three online healthcare courses:
• Headaches (1030): This 3-hour course looks at the causes, symptoms and treatment protocols for all types of headaches. Learning objectives include identifying headache triggers and working with a headache diary and the MIDAS questionnaire.
• Managing a Multigenerational Workforce (1405): This 2-hour course describes the four unique generations currently in the workplace and how to handle the different work ethic, work style, loyalties, and views on work and family of each generation.
• Challenges in Aging: Managing Loss, Complaining and Spirituality (1079): This 4-hour course helps define caregiving from a perspective of managing physical or cognitive loss and examines three areas common to geriatric patients: complaining as a window to a patient’s needs, loss as an opportunity to explore issues of meaning, and spirituality in aging.
“This new series of course approvals for Florida PTs and PTAs is just the latest in a long list of achievements by our Accreditations Team,” says General Manager and VP of Enterprise Sales Ryan Sparks. “Care2Learn continues to lead the market in the depth and breadth of our CE approvals due to our keen ability to navigate the countless physical therapy CE requirements that exist within the healthcare industry.”
