Completion Requirements Licensees are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education per renewal cycle.  License renewal on date of issuance biennially.  No limit to online course noted.
Course of Study 
3 hours of behavioral health ethics or mental health law AND 3 hours cultural competency & diversity are necessary for each renewal.  The board accepts courses approved by NASW as long as board rules are followed.
Care2Learn has courses approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). 
Proof of Completion 
Upon each renewal, licensees must submit a form that includes a list of 30 hours of continuing education activities signed by the licensee and attesting that all information submitted in support of the renewal application is true and correct.  A licensee shall maintain documentation of continuing education activities for 48 months following the date of the license renewal.
